I'm planning on coming. I didn't pre-order so I'll get there pretty early. I'm going to call the store this week and try to find out if they have an idea of the number of phones not already sold through pre-order.
FWIW, I was walking by the store this weekend on the way to somewhere else so I popped in and I asked one of the workers if they were planning on having very many phones beyond the pre-order batch.
He did say that they were planning on having "some" but that he wasn't sure how long that batch would last hehe.

I would love a backlit keyboard. As long as the batteries would be able to last 1 month I'm happy. I use rechargeable batteries so it wouldn't really be a huge issue.

also, for a pro app, soundtrack is much faster than garage band. you can tell that it was very poorly written. i hope gb2 will be much better in terms of speed. 2.5 more hours... longest of my life

Leaked... With intro and everything! Pretty amazing how leaked videos are so polished. ;)
Anyways, good to see consoles finally getting head tracking, but I'm curious about how far they've gone, if it actually supports 6 DOF, or if it's just x and y, which given the console's hardware might be the case.
And that part showing the father and son air-wheeling it on the couch was lame.
GT5 has always had head tracking, and it will always be a better simulator than Forza will ever hope to be. Will GT compare to PC sims, probably not, but Forza is far more concerned with "pimp my ride" than it is with being a simulator (has to appeal to the teenage male audience xbox attracts). I'll stick with GT, its the most realistic driving sim on any console, and always will be.

can i backup this folder to a diskdrive?
i am visiting apps that i bought via itunes and there is no any info there that i bought or not. So, if i format or change my mac then can i restore with that backed up folder?
Yes, you can manually backup your application folder if you wish.
If you happen to have a hard drive crash, etc. its very easy to email apple support and tell them what has happened. They will put up everything you've purchssed, and lost, backup in your download queue and then you can redownload them again.
My wife had her laptop stolen, lost everything. One email to apple support, and less than 24 hours later she had about 60 apps and over 300 songs available to download again. It was some of the greatest support I've seen.

It makes my Pismo feel like he can still be useful. I'm primarily in it to help out with Mac Cow Disease. Someone has to look after the cows. Especially if there's a chance it could spread to my prescious Mooses (I'm a moose lover.)
While I owe my start to MacRumors, I actually formed my own little team with the few computers I have control over. I enjoy seeing my team ranking slowly moving up the ranks (we're at around 2430 as a team now!)
Since my Pismo is the team captain (though obviously not the lead producer), it makes him feel good, too.

If think if you hold down a button (either esc, shift, control, option or command:D) when you select shut down it wont come up. I dont remember which button it is and dont really want to experiment;)

I found these ones to be a bit shoddily done. The transition from the Zipcar app to the scene of the car behind the phone is jumpy. Also, the music playing in the background of the Shazam scene wasn't really transitioned smoothly. They choose an awkward part of the song to start.

the computer does come with a working battery that holds 46 min. of charge as well, as an extra battary cover, a phone cord, and ethernet cord, the power adapter, an external mouse., and if I can find it, a copy of windows ME will also be included. This computer has been very well taken care of by me, but I switched to mac, so I don't need this anymore :)

Those settings should certainly stick. Is this running the latest 10.6 release? (10.6.5)

I recently saw a pc with OSX running on it. And that's neat. I'm mainly a Windows user but I've remained respectful to Apple hardware but I can't stand OSX. It's stable and it's easy to use but I much rather prefer the unrestricted control a knowledgeable user can have over Windows. Thus leads me to my question;
Has anyone gotten or heard of anyone getting Windows to run on a Mac without an excruciatingly slow emulator? Is there any chance of this happening in the future?

So does anyone else think apples next bluetooth keyboard should have backlit keys? and possibly black coloured keys, like macbook pro's etc, instead of white.

Glad to see they are still hardworking on fixing and improving "not-new" products.
I'm not sure I understand you. The 13" MacBook Pro affected by this update is the latest model. I certainly would call it new.
