To my knowledge, the PD field is always blank for EAD reciept notices.
I e-filed EAD renewal. On the I-797 Notice of Action that they mailed me, the "Priority Date" field is blank. The same is true for my last EAD notice of action as well which I did not check last time. Is it normally blank?
Is anybody else in the same boat?

I understand I can�t invoke AC21, but I was reading somewhere that � if you are changing your sponsored company and found same or similar job, then and then you need to file AC21, in my case my sponsored company is still same and ones I got GC, I will start working for them (like future employment).

Hi
Your application and your wife applications are different though she applied as dependent on your application both I-485 applications are treated separately.
So you will be on H1 though your wife uses her EAD. My friend is also in the same status and he is waiting for an answer from an attorney. I would update here once he hear back from attorney.

What I mentioned above applies to new H1 filing. The person can start working as soon as H1 is approved which can be as quickly as 15 days or less if done under Premium Processing.
People who have been counted against the quota in the last 6 years are exempt from it and can apply for new H1 with different employer without being subjected to the quota again.

My wife is working on EAD and her EAD is expiring begining of next month. New EAD has been applied. Can she work with the EAD renewal receipt if the EAD expires ? What are the possible options ? Pleas help

Hi,
I want to know weather can I apply AP for my wife while she is in US post it to India if she has to go to India before it gets approved.
As there is the situation my wife need to go to India in July and we applied for her AP last week, can I send it over to her once the AP is approved or dose she need to be present in US at the time of approval.

You can extend apply for AP (Advance Parole) ;-) at anytime provided you have your 485 pending so there should be no "risks"
only risk i see is that what if you have to travel and for some reason your H1 stamping gets delayed (if you have a AP you will be safe there)
Also their processing times keep on fluctuating - what if you later down the road are
in need of AP apply for one and then dont get it approved by the time you want to travel
Personally I prefer to just keep things simple and apply for AP renewals even though
I wont use them - just so that there is no "divergence" from the norm
Just so when USCIS officer is processing your case they wont have to think or
issue query to get clarification etc etc

It has become quite a hassle to obtain a California state driver's license or state identification card ("ID") when you are a non-immigrant such as in F, M, or J status (students, students in vocational schools, cultural exchange students). Recently Immigration Customs and Enforcement issued a fact sheet on applying for a driver's license or ID card for non immigrants in F, M or J status. I would suggest you ask your employer B to file thru premium processing. Just to be on the safe side
cancellation takes atleast a month if not more. (4-5 months is not a confirmed number so its better to assume the worse case of 1 month)

Thanks for taking time to answer my query. I have other problem so I am confused about this fact. My spouse's name is correct on passport. but her mother's surname has spelling mistake.All other details are correct. We were not aware of the fact till now. Now we are in the process of applying for I485.
So I am worried about all this. If I take affidavit, it will work?

At this time there is no certainity.At the rate in which dates are moving in EB2 India (1 month move in a year) your PD will be current after 10 years. You may not even consider coming here then.
More realistic is the situation when illegal will get amnesty and legals may be put ahead of line.
Also the window may be as little as 30 days like in July 2007 as long as anytime (say someone with PD 2003 in EB2 --any time in the future)
