I have EAD through my wifes employment under Eb3 category with a PD 2005. we are expecting a baby in september, so
There is an option to avail a child care leave(4 years) and the employer will hold the job as this is official policy of the organization that belongs to a state government.Will there be a problem then being in AOS and not working and moreover recently received a RFE for EVL 2 weeks ago and we submitted it already?

My wife renewed her license showing 485 receipt as the evidence. I think the PA DMV Manual says that if your AOS application is in progress , You can renew your license for 1 year. We did not need to show the EAD.

Thanks...I haven't worked with cap H1b before.
So it seems IMPOSSIBLE to change job from university to company since most companies won't help you apply H1B on April and wait 6 months (till Oct) to put you into work.

By courtesy copy do you mean the original I-797C?
I am also in the same situation. I didn't get the copy and lawyer got copy today only. Appt date is this Sat.
Lawyer has emailed me the scanned copy. Can I take this copy for FP ?

If the employer agrees not to revoke the 140, Can I change the employer after getting EAD. 485 application is pending but less than 180 days.

No one here could possibly know. The FULL price is probably going to be around $900 a month. But his employer would pick up, usually at least half the cost for HIS coverage - or around $250ish.

If I am not wrong, you must be paid by your consultant. So, those missing days should be a working days as per your consultant is concerned. I work on site too. when there is holidays that my consultant doesn't approve, Consultant pay for those missing days. I am not sure how your consultant is going to utilize you for those missing days. Talk to your consultant, they should be able to help you. Good luck

I am observing the alerts and discussions here and also the current political activities.Such a pity that we dont mean anything compared to those who broke the law to enter here.
Anyways we are part of this system and have to keep fighting till we go down.
I have a suggestion: Can we make a online petition focussing clearly on just eb provisions in the bill coming to the floor . We can make immigration voice as the sender and send to only senate judiciary committee members .
We should also let them know that our community is closely following senate proceddings and actvities and would request to know their stand on our plight. I dont think those guys know we exist for one or second we r watching them close.Why would they talk of us if they dont know we r watching..
we should ask them for answer:do u want us to leave now as its not possible for a eb3 indian to stay on in one job for years waiting for gc. or do u really want tohelp us out.
i think a single petiition with thousands of signs would be better right now as time is limited. any thoughts..if u guys approve we have to work real fast on it.

I am on h4 visa now.It expires in Sep14,2011 .I have a company that wants to sponsor my H1 visa.the start date for the h1 visa would be 1st Oct,2011.
Does this mean that i will be out of status for Sep14-Sep30, will i have to file for my h4 renewal for that period.also,would it affect my new h1 petition.

I am living in US and am currently on AOS (Adjustment of Status), my mom is staying with me on tourist visa but her visa expires in middle of June this year. Last year my father expired and my mother is incapable of taking care of herself alone (she is suffering from pysio frania which basically means she fears strangers and repeats stuff) so i would like to apply for Visa extension for her. Can anyone suggest what points i should take care of while applying for Visa extension for her? or is there any visa under which i can have stay with me in US as dependent??

Your other one had better exposure also. And don't feel too bad about it - I struggle with proper highlight exposure on slide film all the time (/curses his lack of a spot meter). :(
