I drilled a hole for the reset/power button but havnt tried that.
I have a dremel and my case is cracking anyways LOL so I will try it.
Also if yall have trouble with software update I figured out how to get latest Firmware installed. I been meaning to post my success and just getting around to it hope it helps.
Install cydelete to get the older version un-installed from the icon. This helps if you have the Cydia glitch that wont allow you to scroll to "y" section or load the yosion source in Cydia.
After install cydelete and then hold on the icons for phone/mms delete them just like you would for a normal non cydia icon app make sure you respring.
1) make sure openssh and ifile are installed respring if need install then step2.
2) on your PC, download WinSCP (windows) here
http://winscp.net/eng/index.php
you can also use Cyberduck (windows/mac) i used winscp
3) connect your ipod touch to your computer. if itunes automatically loads, close that down.
4) start WinSCP.
use the following details to log in to WinSCP
server: Your_IP_address
I used the ip listed under wifi settings.

Saurik actually fixed a version, but it's sort of a beta so its not published; it's only available as a .deb file:

If you have iFile or OpenSSH installed, you can use them to install it. Let me know if you need instructions.
Otherwise there are others in various non-standard Cydia repositories, which you would have to add to Cydia:
http://cydia.myrepospace.com/iDignify/ (which hasn't been working lately)
or
http://www.podzombie.com/repository/
but Saurik's actually has more features, despite the lower version number.
If you need to install it through ifile then I'm guessing you have to uninstall it through ifile as well? I haven't installed/uninstalled anything through SSH-ing or ifile yet so some instructions would be much appreciated!
Edit: is it really as simple as selecting install from within ifile? I clicked the link you gave for the beta on the iPod and safari let me open the deb file in ifile. Don't wanna mess anything up but man it sure seems simple.

Depends if you have a decent phone wait youll be glad you did however if you do not have a phone get the 4 and enjoy it for at least another month:p Apple usually supports the phones for 2.5-3 years so the 4 still has plenty of life left.

I would suggest this could be the problem: when you reposition you are probably altering the distance between the lens and the subject somewhat.
Agree with robbie, with that shallow a DOF when you reposition if you're off a little the focus might change. Try using a DOF of 4 and see what happens. Your bokeh effect will obviously be different but you may have more consistent pictures. FWIW

Keynote and Pages are really coming along nicely, especially Pages IMO. Nice to see these updates, especially to acknowledge the recent Aperture update. Other features/updates would have been nice as well, but not a big deal...

My question for discussion would be: 1) would you consider buying a used LCD monitor off of ebay? 2) What new 19" LCD would you recommend in the $450 price range?
I've heard good reviews about the Dell 1905FP 19", which is going for around ~$300 on eBay. Damn, always playing catch up. When i used wireframes, everyone was using flat shading. When i reached there, everyone was using texture mapped gourauds and phongs. After that was ray-tracing and now when i have implemented it with soft shadows, everyone is using path-tracing and derivatives. And my editor uses steam power. It took years to make.

I posted the same question here some time back but got no response(N) So, i done some digging for myself.
When i done mine it was for a DofE (A Charity), which meant i was after a rather free option, i found YawCam (http://www.yawcam.com/). Downloading their software, i was then able to stream live onto a html page, which they set up for free! I then embeded it into my own website.
Thanks for the suggestion. I noticed it has a scheduling feature which is nice and what I've been looking for. I have several other questions in relation to this:
What kind of hardware would I need for this, and what type of internet connection? Would a normal pc or a netbook with an attached higher quality webcam (thinking of going with a higher quality Logitech - does the app work with their cameras?) be enough? What about bandwidth usage? Wouldn't I need a really fast upload connection if I'm planning on using a direct stream? Cable modem? FIOS? Or is there some service which allows you to stream to them and they relay to your site (similar to Justin.tv or Stream.tv, though I'd prefer not to deal with them in particular)?

I was going to get the first tube to Covent garden which gets in at 5:44. The bus is always an option though...
I'm beginning to consider not going to bed at all, going to my meagre 2hours of lectures from 9-11am (depending on whether I have my iPad 2 in hand, I'm really not bothered if I miss them) and then get some sleep in the afternoon.
So yeah, 4am would be good for me unless you wanted to get there a bit earlier? I imagine most people would be getting the first tube in actually...

It's not one of the first ones made, the iPhone was released on June 29th, 2007 and your phone was made in the first week of July, 2007. Therefore the initial influx of production models were already in the hands of the first customers before yours was made. It was made fairly early in the cycle, but definitely not in the first group.

Well yea you're on a Mac forum so you're going to get a lot of Mac replies... which IMO is all you need ;)
But seriously... if you want extreme portability a MBA will do great... the 13 inch ones are slim and have amazing battery life; if you're willing to get the 1.4/1.6ghz dual core instead of a 2.x one (dual), then you should be set. They all have the glass trackpad which is great as well.
Like I posted before though, I would suggest a MBP. They are still very portable and small in size compared to other laptops and have a performance (and build) increase compared to the regular, polycarbonate Macs.
What are you planning on doing with your computer? Where are you taking it? These things would help us out a lot :)
