Attended 485 Interview yesterday, everything went fine, the office told me that they need 120 days to review the file and will inform the decision after that. For me it looks like he basically collected all the documentation from me and will forward them to the Supervisor.

Hi,
I recently received EAD and my I-140 approved an year ago . I am waiting for the 180 days count down to be over. but my question here is after 180 days if i want to use AC21 , do we really need to have the I-140 apporval copy or receipt number bcz it is still with my employer and they are not going to share with the me for sure. But it got approved and year ago for me.
Also is there any way i can get the receipt number of I140 by calling the USCIS ?
Please help!

Does your RFE for paystubs have any time-bound constraint on it? Meaning, do you have to respond within certain period of time, or can you take indefinite time in responding.
The reason I am asking is because there can be different solutions for these two different scenarios.

A friend of mine just told me that USCIS has issued "guidance" a couple of weeks ago that allows using the EAD and at the same time "preserving" the alien's H1B status.

I and my wife are on EAD here and my wife had to go to India urgently on an Advance Parole that was expired last month. Can I apply for the AP renewal for her while she is in India, so that she can come back without any problems? Please let me know what options do I have. Hello everyone,
My driver's license has come up for renewal in Feb 2009. I have 2 yrs EAD.I have send my H1 for renewal but it has not got yet approved..
My employer suggessted that I use my EAD card to get my license renewed. In Ideal case I would like to use my approved H1 to renew my license. However since its taking time for my H1 renewal can I use my EAD card to get my license renewed.

She came here on H4 and we applied for her H1B, effective 10/2007, and she has been working since Jan08 and have all her paystubs from that date. Can you share your experience in terms of questions they ask and supporting documents they request in addition to the documents that we are required to carry.
Your reply would be appreciated
Mainly they ask for W2 , tax returns for all years, she was on h1. And you can also send your tax returns for all the other years she was on h4.

I have applied AP for my family 3 weeks before. My wife needs to go India by end of next month. If AP approval doesn't come to our hand by next month, can she leave the country? If she shouldn't, what are the alternate options? I appreciate your help.

Hi,
My 6 year H1B ends on April 17/2011 with Company A. Company A applied for my PERM on 15th Jan 2010.
Now I am planning to switch a company B(my interview is next week and I think I will clear that interview) to a Permanent JOB. If I get through that Company B. How soon they have to apply for my H1B transfer?
If company B apply PERM on June 2010(due to company B policy), is their any issue to get 7th yr of extension on June 2010 PERM? Or is it possible to apply for 7th year of extension Company A PERM application.
Please respond with your suggestions.

I am getting ready to apply for my wife's AOS (ROW). She has never used a last name on any legal documents, example birth certificate, passport.
Her H4 visa was processed with "FNU" - family name unknown .. Do I need a last name for filing her I-485? Can she get a GC with only her first name on it?
Or will they process it with FNU as last name...
Should i go to her embassy (Indonesia) and get her passport changed to my last name before applying for her 485? In that event, her H4 visa,passport and birth certificate will not match her passport..

Your receipt notice will show "receipt date" as July 3 - Oct 10 as Notice Date, thats when they entered your case into the system. If you end up with USCIS rep level 1, they say received date as Oct 10 as they don't have vicinity to Receipt Date. when I called to check the status of my AP, rep said, they receipted (noticed date) my case on 10/2 - it will take 3-6 months to get AP as TSC processing application entered on 7/17.
I got my receipt numbers by calling USCIS on Oct 12.

hello, I am in a F1 status for about 3 years, I have been working and filing taxes. I am going to get married to a USC and apply for a green card through it. I want to know if I can have any problem in the aplication since I've been working without authorization. Second in concern to the affidavit support how much should I show and who has to fill these forms since my future wife is unemployed. Third in case my wife file for bankruptcy in the future that could affect me and if it does how can avoid this. By the way I live in florida.
